According to the World Health Organization and international studies, we can estimate that nearly 1 in 5 women and 1 in 13 men report having been sexually abused as a child and more than 80% of child sexual abuse cases go unreported.
Every year, there are an estimated 40'150 homicide deaths in children under 18 years of age, some of which are likely due to child maltreatment. This number almost certainly underestimates the true extent of the problem, since a significant proportion of deaths due to child maltreatment are incorrectly attributed to falls, burns, drowning and other causes.
The sexual abuse children is something most people neither believe or talk about. Therefore Stadio Comunale is committed to make positive impact on the community by supporting The End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation (ECSAF) and Innocence In Danger with the mission to protect children and young adults against all forms of violence, particularly sexual violence, present in ten countries and partner of international associations active in the fight against pedocrime.
5% of the profits generated by Stadio Comunale will go towards supporting The End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation (ECSAF) and Innocence In Danger's work for the protection of children against all forms of violence, notably sexual violence: Therapy for victims, Prevention activities for raising awareness, Public education program, Research and Advocay, Counselling service to facilitate justice for the victims and heal wounds.
In collaboration with The End Child Sexual Abuse Foundation (ECSAF) and Innocence In Danger, Stadio Comunale created a Limited Edition collection of leather goods and sweatshirts and tees called Macchia. Its name is rooted in the Mediterranean costal area of Italy where the magnificent green spontaneous vegetation confers intense coloring to the slopes all round the year. A stunning green colour symbolizing the springtime, hope, rebirth and immortality.
